Sixth Grade Homeroom Teacher/Math

SixthMiss Erin Boley graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2006, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (K-8), with concentrations in math and science.  Prior to coming to St. Anne, she was a nanny and also worked at a daycare in the Lancaster area.  She is an active member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.   In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, skiing, and snowboarding.  She looks forward to making a positive impact on your son/daughter's future during this upcoming school year.  Her true passion in life is for educating and helping others. 

 

 

Sixth Grade Homeroom Teacher/Language Arts

Sixth

Mrs. Karen Henry was born and raised in York, PA. She attended Catholic elementary and high schools. She is a graduate of York College of PA with a BS in Elementary Education. Previously, Mrs. Henry taught Pre K and First Grade at a Catholic School in Dallastown, PA. She and her husband, Pat, have three children, all who attend Saint Anne School. Mrs. Henry has been teaching at SAS since 2005.

Mission Statement:
“I believe that a Catholic Education is important in developing a responsible, moral and kind adult. As a Catholic Educator, I try to recognize all of God’s gifts in every student. Each of my students has unique abilities, talents, learning styles and personality. As parents and teachers we must all work together to nurture each of our children with Jesus as our role model.”

 

Seventh Grade Homeroom Teacher/Social Studies

SeventhMr. Bill Traphagen is originally from Monmouth County, NJ.  After high school, he attended Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina and graduated in 2004 with a BA in Elementary Education and Therapeutic Recreation.  He is currently working on a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. He and his wife live in Millersville along with their daughter, Rachel, and golden retriever, Poz.  They are members of St. Phillips the Apostle Church.  Mr. Traphagen’s hobbies include woodworking, hiking, and biking.  

 

 

 

Eighth Grade Homeroom Teacher/Science

EighthMrs. Jan Molchany was born and raised in Johnstown, PA. She graduated from Indiana University of PA, where she also received her Master’s Degree. She is also certified as a Reading Specialist and middle school Science and Math teacher. She has been teaching at St. Anne School since 1988—when she moved to Lancaster County. She, her husband and three children live in Ephrata.
Mrs. Molchany has taught many different grades in her career. This suits her personality; she likes change! She has taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 7th, in addition to 8th grade, and has enjoyed all of them.

Mission Statement:
“As an educator, my goal is to help children to recognize their God-given gifts and use them to their full potential. Along with their parents, I plan to help them to develop a good value system to help them to make good moral decisions in their lives. As a Catholic educator, I will strive to pass on the teachings of the Catholic faith and to be a positive role model for my students.”

 

Pre-Algebra/Algebra Teacher

AlgebraMrs. Kathy Martin graduated in 1989 from Villanova University with a BS in Mathematics. She was a member of Pi Mu Epsilon, the honors math fraternity. She did her student teaching at Manheim Township Middle School in the spring of 1991 and received her Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education in Math from Millersville University in 1991. She has taken several graduate level courses through Millersville University (MU), IUP, and Alvernia College. She and her husband, Bob, live in Lititz. All seven of her children attended St. Anne School. She had the unique experience of being able to teach her three youngest children in 7th and 8th grade, and contribute to their mathematical education. This will be her 18th year teaching at St. Anne’s.
